The Bauform 216 was a compact German Ringstand designed for a medium flamethrower or machine gun. This type of position formed part of the close-range defences of German fortified locations during World War II.

Design and Construction

The Ringstand featured an open-topped fighting position surrounded by concrete protection.

Its low profile allowed the structure to be incorporated into the surrounding terrain. For a diorama, earth banks, vegetation and connecting trenches can help blend the bunker into a fortified landscape.
