35-002 Hocker hindernisse type '42SKU: 35-002
In order to protect a stütspunkt attack from behind, the Germans placed panzer walls, tank ditches and höckerhindernisse. This was done in a manor that it wouldn’t be in a strait line.
The concept of these höckerhindernisse was that they would stop light panzer vehicles. To stop attack from infantry the Germans weaved barbwire into the höckerhindernisse. Nearby the höckerhindernisse the Germans placed a MG bunker and /or a PAK bunker to oversee the höckerhindernisse.
The early types of höckerhindernisse where proven to be weak. As a replacement the Germans designed a better and stronger model höckerhindernisse type ’42.
This type of höckerhindernisse can still be found at the Dutch coastline
