Dutch Type B Casemate (Ba Version) – Resin Expansion Set
1/35 Scale | Dutch WWII Fortifications
Complete your Dutch Type B Casemate with this detailed resin expansion set from Helmuth’s Strongholds.
This specially designed accessory set provides additional details for the Dutch Type B Casemate (Ba version), a reinforced concrete machine-gun bunker developed in 1939 and used during the German invasion of the Netherlands in May 1940.
The set includes essential components to enhance the historical accuracy and realism of your 1/35 scale model.
What's in the Box?
The expansion set contains the following detailed resin components:
- Entrance Door – Resin access door for the rear entrance of the Ba-type casemate.
- Armour Plate – Protective armour plate for the heavy machine-gun embrasure.
- Heavy Machine Gun – Detailed reproduction of the bunker’s main armament.
- Climbing Irons – Metal-style climbing steps reproduced in resin.
- Camouflage Hooks – Hooks used to attach camouflage materials to the exterior of the bunker.
Historical Background
The Dutch Type B Casemate was designed to provide flanking machine-gun fire while protecting its crew from direct enemy attacks.
The Ba version featured a conventional rear entrance and was constructed from heavily reinforced concrete.
Additional fittings, such as protective armour plates, access equipment and camouflage attachments, contributed to the functionality and concealment of these defensive positions.
